Home Health Clerk
Position Summary: The Home Health Clerk insures that all documentation is properly filed in the medical records charts.
Position Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- One (1) year experience in Home Health preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Kinnser software proficiency preferred
Duties:
- Ensures all medical documentation is filed in a proper and timely manner
- Conducts ongoing quality assurance inspection with all medical records in department
- Develops organizational tools to facilitate and incorporate accountability for all medical records
- Identifies and informs Director of Nursing of discrepant medical records for compliance and completeness
- Proposes initiative to enhance record department procedures and capabilities
- Formulates and corresponds telephone orders and 485\’s for physician signature
- Maintains and manages physician order log, faxing and retrieval
