Alison McNichols, PHRHuman Resources Manager

With over ﬁve years at Abcor, Alison McNichols is committed to fostering a supportive and thriving workplace in home healthcare. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Community Health and Wellness from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, she is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for the aging community. Alison's journey at Abcor began in Business Development, where she gained valuable insights into home health and home care operations, which fueled her transition into Human Resources. As a strategic partner, Alison shapes organizational culture and supports the team’s growth. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, spending time with family and friends, and cuddling with her cat. She is dedicated to creating a healthy work-life balance for herself and her colleagues.

Gustavo Saberbein, MS-HSMChief Operating Officer

Gustavo Saberbein is a healthcare executive with over 20 years of experience in home care, home health, and hospice sectors. He has built strong partnerships with state and national organizations to improve access, cost containment, and quality in services funded by Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care. Gustavo has served as President of the Illinois Adult Day Services Association and is currently a board member of the Illinois Association of Community Care Program Home Care Providers. As COO at Abcor Home Health, he is committed to advancing person-centered care, strengthening communication among state agencies, and supporting initiatives promoting self-suﬃciency and independence. He holds a Master’s in Health Systems Management from Rush University and a Dental Surgeon title from Universidad de San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru. Gustavo lives in Arlington Heights with his wife and two daughters.

Kate KulbachnaDirector of Growth and Administrative Services

Kate Kulbachna, a University of Central Florida graduate, transitioned from real estate to home healthcare, where she has over six years of management experience. Skilled in operations, growth, and multistate management, she has successfully led both startups and mid-sized organizations. A strong advocate for community-based care, Kate is dedicated to improving quality of life for clients and families. Outside of work, she enjoys adventures with loved ones, from hiking to spontaneous trips.

Steve RussellFinance Director/Controller

Steve Russell, CPA, has over 35 years of accounting experience in both public and corporate roles. He holds a Bachelor's in Accounting from Benedictine University and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. With extensive expertise in ﬁnancial reporting, revenue cycle management, budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning, Steve has provided ﬁnancial leadership to both for-proﬁt and non- proﬁt service organizations. Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, and spending time with family. His favorite summer activity is attending afternoon Cubs games at Wrigley Field.

Maricela MerazDirector, Project Management and Business Transformation

Maricela Meraz has a strong background in social services, where she administered HCBS Medicaid Waiver programs and various Older Americans Act grant-based services. She’s passionate about supporting older adults, especially those from culturally diverse backgrounds. Maricela previously helped Medicare beneﬁciaries through the State Health Insurance Assistance Program and founded a Spanish-speaking caregiver support group. In 2017, she transitioned to the home care sector to expand services to underserved populations, including rural and isolated individuals. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University Chicago and enjoys spending time with family, gardening, and reading.

Svetlana AnanichDirector of Quality and Compliance

Svetlana Ananich brings over a decade of experience in home care operations, specializing in regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and risk management. Since 2012, she has managed operations, from staﬀ supervision to implementing CRM and EVV systems. Known for her analytical thinking and problem- solving skills, Svetlana drives growth, improves service delivery, and ensures regulatory compliance. She is an integral part of Abcor’s executive team, contributing to its success. Outside of work, Svetlana enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and caring for her dog.

Tatyana BeryozkinaDirector of Nursing

Tatyana Beryozkina, RN, graduated from Rush University and began her nursing career in the ICU at Ascension Resurrection, where she gained critical healthcare experience. She transitioned into home health in 2007, with a dedicated focus on patient-centered care. Tatyana has extensive healthcare knowledge and has successfully proven herself in domestic and internal healthcare systems through her leadership and dedication to quality care. She joined Abcor Home Health in 2022, bringing with her a loyal and skilled team. Outside of work, Tatyana stays active through the gym and tennis, enjoys spending time with her family, and loves exploring new restaurants. She also enjoys quiet evenings at home and watching movies.

Sandra KesterDirector, Operations

Sandy Kester is an experienced operations leader with over 14 years in the home care industry. She specializes in optimizing workﬂows, managing resources, and ensuring service excellence across diverse client and caregiver needs. Sandy has worked in multiple states and with various payors, giving her a deep understanding of industry complexities. Her expertise includes strategic planning, process improvement, compliance, and team leadership. Outside of work, Sandy enjoys spending time with family, traveling to natural destinations, and exploring Universal Studios and Disney for their creativity and magic.
