HR Assistant

Location

Arlington Heights IL

Necessary Skills

1. Assisting Human Resources Coordinator with the maintenance and audit of employee personal files.
2. Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to, bookkeeping, copying, faxing, mailing and filing.
3. Scheduling Potential Applicants for Interviews.
4. Prepare weekly interview statistics.
5. Assist with processing employee status/address change.
6. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information.
7. Documentation in Generations Database for new hires notes.
8. Updating the availability for caregivers/CNA.
9. Monitor New Hire Reporting System/DHFS Sanction List and IDPH portal.
10. Perform reference/check/background check verification for new hired employees.
11. Assist with In-Service/Pre-Service Training.
12. Other duties and projects as assigned by Human Resources Coordinator.
13. Assist in maintenance of field staff hiring based on Homecare department needs in HMK service areas.
14. Assist with recruiting

Basic Requirements

• Sufficient verbal/written communication skills, ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS (Microsoft Office) application including Word and Excel.
• Attention to the details and excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general administration.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, typewriters, calculators, copiers and facsimile machines.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Eligibility

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma required, higher education preferred.
• Must be able to drive to Arlington Heights weekly.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of a human resources coordinator assistant is to assist the Human Resources Coordinator with online Pre-Service/In-Service Training, maintenance of IDPH Healthcare Worker registry, reference check and audit of employee files and other duties as assigned by Human Resources Coordinator.
